Is it possible to add : a robust and complete desktop GIS ?
Page 7 and 8 :
End of page 7 " The most usual formats that will be compatible with the tool are the following : - Vector data - Raster data "
Is it possible to precise data access ?
I propose this :
- Vector data :
1. Flat files : shp, dxf... and GML 3
2. Database storage : PostGIS, MySQL, Oracle
- Raster data (flat files)
- Services and protocoles
WMS, WFS and WCS, Gazetteer.
Perhaps we can use the figure 1 to argue.
Page 10 :
"Muliplatform : Will be able to run in Windows and in Linux as well." Add and MacOS
"The developments to be carried out and that are detailed into workpackages are following"
It will be interested to add a workpackage about Database tools. For examples to build advanced queries with PostGIS, MySQL or Oracle SQL and display result in gvSIG. I think it's an important step to place gvSIG in a SDI.
